Letters Of Support
At Mayrx, we deeply value the trust, collaboration, and mutual respect we share with our medical and behavioral health colleagues. These relationships are built on a shared dedication to ethical, evidence-based care and a belief in the importance of treating the whole person. The following letters reflect their confidence in our mission, clinical approach, and unwavering commitment to patient-centered recovery.
“At Asheville Comprehensive Treatment Center, we’ve referred several patients to Mayrx for residential and PHP services, and their team has consistently gone above and beyond — often securing placement the same or next day. Their willingness to accept Medicaid and support patients actively engaged in MOUD has made a profound difference for our community. Mayrx fills a critical gap in the continuum of care for individuals with opioid use disorder, and we’re proud to work alongside such a compassionate, responsive partner. The impact they’ve made is real, and we look forward to continuing our collaboration for years to come.”

At Asheville Comprehensive Treatment Center, we offer outpatient medication-assisted treatment utilizing medications for opioid use disorder, primarily methadone and buprenorphine. Our staff, patients, and facility at large have benefitted significantly from the additional recovery support resources Maryx and their team have been able to provide. While Asheville has a reputation for being a community of recovery, residential, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs often have limited availability or are restrictive with regard to patients utilizing MOUD.
To date we have referred several of our patients for residential and PHP services, and Mayrx staff are consistently highly attentive and responsive to the needs of the patient, usually securing placement same or next day. In addition, Mayrx accepts Medicaid, funding which many of our patients rely on to receive services, and they allow their patients to continue MOUD while enrolled in the program.
We are thrilled to have a community partner focused on providing the services our patients with Opioid Use Disorder desperately need and advancing the evidence-based and highly effective MOUD treatment options and look forward to working alongside their organization in the coming years.
I would be happy to discuss our experiences with Mayrx further – feel free to contact me via any of the means below. I have meetings Tuesday at 10am and 12pm but otherwise would be available via phone.

“Mayrx is an exceptional treatment provider offering responsive, inclusive care for individuals with substance use and co-occurring psychiatric disorders. As an Addiction Psychiatrist at a state-run inpatient facility, I’ve witnessed firsthand how Mayrx bridges critical gaps in the treatment continuum—especially through their Partial Hospitalization Program and commitment to accepting patients on all FDA-approved MOUD medications. Their team provides timely access, clinical excellence, and a willingness to collaborate that’s rare in this field. I have full confidence in recommending Mayrx as a model of patient-centered, evidence-based care.”

Dear Dr. Halberg,
I’m writing to offer my strong support for MayRx as a high-quality treatment provider for individuals with substance use disorders. From my position as an Addiction Psychiatrist and soon-to-be Chief Medical Officer at Julian F. Keith Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center, an inpatient state-run addiction treatment facility, I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with your team and have consistently been impressed by the level of care and commitment you provide to our shared patient population.
MayRx stands out in several important ways. Your program’s integration of a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) with affiliated sober living offers a vital and stable step-down for patients transitioning from inpatient care. It is particularly commendable that MayRx welcomes individuals on all three FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder—methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone. This inclusive approach is unfortunately still uncommon in many outpatient and residential settings and represents a major strength of your program in addressing the opioid crisis. Similarly, your outpatient services at MayRx are also inclusive, rapidly accessible, and flexible with the complex needs of our population.
Equally important is your willingness to treat patients with co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions, who are often turned away elsewhere due to the complexity of their care needs. Your team’s ability to manage both substance use and mental health disorders in a coordinated and compassionate manner makes a real difference in reducing barriers to cares.
I also want to specifically acknowledge your personal accessibility and willingness to collaborate on complex discharges and transitions of care. Your responsiveness and clinical insight have been invaluable in ensuring continuity and quality of treatment for some of our most vulnerable patients. Sadly, it is the exception, not the rule, that a Medical Director is accessible and eager to collaborate across settings in this field. It has been a pleasure working with you and your team. MayRx fills a critical gap in the treatment continuum, and I have full confidence in recommending your program as a model of effective, evidence-based, and patient-centered care.
Sincerely,
Dustin Patil, M.D.

“At Operation Gateway, we’ve worked closely with Mayrx and have witnessed the profound impact of their compassionate, person-centered care. Their focus on reentry support, trauma-informed treatment, and harm reduction fills a critical gap in services for justice-impacted and Medicaid-supported individuals. Mayrx’s ability to treat complex co-occurring conditions while maintaining accessibility and clinical excellence sets them apart. We’re proud to refer community members to their program and fully endorse them as a trusted partner in recovery.”

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing on behalf of Operation Gateway Inc. to offer our strongest recommendation and full support for Mayrx Recovery as a trusted, high-quality treatment provider for individuals living with substance use disorders.
As Executive Director of Operation Gateway, I have had the opportunity to work closely with the Mayrx team and witness firsthand the impact of their compassionate, person-centered care. We are truly grateful for the partnership, the seamless referrals, and most importantly, the quality of care our community members receive when they are connected with your program.
Mayrx stands out in several essential ways. The integration of a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers a critical and stable step-down for individuals transitioning from inpatient care. Your commitment to medication-assisted treatment (MAT), trauma-informed approaches, and your focus on reentry support for justice-impacted individuals is particularly commendable. These efforts reflect a deep understanding of the social and systemic factors that often accompany addiction and recovery.
We especially value Mayrx’s willingness to serve individuals with co-occurring psychiatric and medical conditions—a population that is frequently overlooked or denied services elsewhere due to the complexity of their needs. Your clinical team’s ability to provide comprehensive, wraparound support in these situations makes all the difference in long-term recovery outcomes.
Moreover, your commitment to working with the Medicaid population, your use of harm reduction principles, and the strength of your psychoeducation-based curriculum demonstrate a level of accessibility and innovation that fills a critical gap in the treatment continuum.
Operation Gateway is proud to refer individuals to Mayrx Recovery, and we have every confidence in your program as a model of effective, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. We look forward to continuing our partnership and expanding our collaboration to offer wraparound services that support clients not just in treatment, but in life.
With sincere gratitude and full endorsement,
Sincerely,
Philip Cooper
